BREEAM In-Use resources inventories.

Treat the building as a material bank. A resources inventory records what the building is made of, what it is worth and how to keep it in use, and Camio keeps it current long after certification.

What is a breeam in-use resources inventory?

A resources inventory records the key materials and components in an existing building, with their quantities, condition and value. At the extended level it adds maintenance guidance and strategies for reuse at the end of each item's life.

It is the evidence for the resources inventory credit (RSC 03) in BREEAM In-Use, and a useful asset in its own right for planning future refurbishment.

  • Key materials and components with quantity, condition and value
  • Maintenance guidance and reuse strategies for each

Why you need a breeam in-use resources inventory.

BREEAM In-Use rewards owners and managers who understand the resources in their buildings and plan to keep them in use. A resources inventory earns credits under RSC 03 and supports a stronger overall rating.

Most inventories go out of date as soon as the building changes. Fit-outs, moves and refurbishments mean the record no longer matches reality by the next assessment.

The Camio difference

Why Camio for BREEAM In-Use.

Camio tracks every asset across its lives, its locations and its owners. When items move between floors, buildings or tenants, their records move with them, so your resources inventory stays accurate between assessments.

BREEAM only requires the owner's resources in the inventory, but Camio can also capture tenant fit-out and FF&E. That gives you a complete picture of what the building holds and what can be reused when tenants change.

Every asset, every life

Most audits describe a building on one day. Camio follows every asset for life.

Each item keeps its record through every life, every location and every owner. That is what makes Camio the natural fit for BREEAM In-Use, SKA and estates where assets move between projects again and again.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked

Does the inventory need to include tenant fit-out?

For RSC 03, the inventory only needs to cover resources the owner is responsible for. Camio can capture tenant fit-out and FF&E as well, which helps with reuse when tenants change.

How do you keep the inventory up to date?

Camio tracks each asset as it moves, changes owner or is replaced, so the inventory reflects the building as it is today rather than on the day of the survey.

Can you work with our BREEAM assessor?

Yes. Your assessor can review the inventory online and we can format reports to suit their evidence requirements.
